Lacuna Series 2023
Matter, Void, and Human Imprint
The Lacuna Series builds upon the original work Lacuna, expanding its narrative through a collection of smaller, modular components that function both independently and in dialogue with one another. Continuing its exploration of balance and imbalance in relation to nature and human influence, the series deepens the investigation of materiality, absence, and transformation.
Through organic forms and an interplay with negative space, the work challenges the viewer to reconsider the boundary between the tangible and the imagined. Fragments of tin and copper bear traces of human intervention, where corrosion and patina serve as records of time’s passage and the imprint of hands upon matter.
Here, the void is not a mere absence but an active presence—an open space for meaning, change, and discovery. Lacuna Series invites reflection on what is lost and what remains, turning absence into a site of contemplation and new formation.
