Lacuna 2022
Matter, Void, and Human Imprint

Lacuna unfolds as an evocative landscape, where blades of grass dissolve into water, extending toward the horizon beneath the soft glow of sunset. Through an intuitive dialogue with nature’s organic forms, the work navigates the tensions between presence and absence, balance and imbalance—an allegory of contemporary uncertainties.
The title Lacuna alludes to the work’s central motif: a negative space, an absence that holds traces of what has been lost or is in the process of vanishing. This void, rather than being merely a lack, is positioned as a site of transformation—an invitation for reflection, regeneration, and the emergence of new possibilities. In this undefined space, a poetic openness takes shape, offering the viewer a moment of contemplation on what remains and what is yet to come.
